Under the leadership of founding director Joy Kwakuyi, DNP, PMHNP-BC, the psychiatry practice provides best-practice behavioral health and coaching services for adults, adolescents, and organizations.

Dr. Kwakuyi is also a pastor and life coach and provides Christian counseling at Faith Integrated Psychiatry. As director and lead provider at the practice, Dr. Kwakuyi implements his Authentic Healing Process for Depression (AHPD) and utilizes telemedicine to reach clients near and far.
After earning his bachelor’s degree at the University of Connecticut in Hartford (UConn Hartford), Connecticut, Dr. Kwakuyi completed a post-baccalaureate certificate in nursing. He went on to earn a Master of Science and Doctor of Nursing practice degree at the University of South Alabama (USA) in Mobile, Alabama.
Dr. Kwakuyi also has a bachelor’s degree from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi (KNUST), Ghana, and a master’s degree from the University of London in the United Kingdom.
He has spent the last 15 years listening, caring, supporting, and sharing with his patients and audiences in various sectors, and has 30 years of Christian ministry experience in Africa, Europe, and the United States.

A $99 complimentary initial evaluation called a Discovery Session (for our program patients only) during which we learn about your needs, make recommendations for your treatment, and educate you on our practices. PLEASE NOTE: Our standard fee for psychiatric evaluations is $350. The $99 fee is for your initial session and recommendations only NOT for your treatment. This fee is reserved for only new patients going through our treatment program (see details below).
- ii. An opportunity to sign-up for an intensive individualized treatment program that will help you achieve stability and acquire critical tools to manage your wellness in a short period of time. The fee for this program will be decided by the provider during your initial evaluation.
- i. Focus on meeting the needs of our clients (instead of a third party) and provide highly personalized services
- ii. Ensure that our clients' confidential records remain with only one entity
